Sometimes, when we here gender identification and gender roles, we may think that they are the same thing. Yes, they may seem to be similar in some ways, but they are definitely different. Gender identity is how you feel about your gender and how you express it towards others. Gender roles are how people act in order to express whatever gender they may be. Gender identification and gender roles are very important because it allows you to know who you really are and what you are actually capable of. Believe it or not, there are many people that really do not know a lot about themselves and some of them may not even know what gender that may be. I know that might seem quite funny or odd to some people, but there are reasons why others might not know their identity of their gender or even the role they are supposed to be playing as the gender they are considered to be. The only way for some people to really know is for other people to actually tell them like parents and doctors. Knowing about yourself and also your gender tells a lot about yourself. Your gender is how people recognize who are and it is also how you may recognize yourself. Everyone is not the same and everyone looks different, except if you are a twin maybe. Even twins have their own way of doing things and thinking differently from the other. Now, your gender is basically society’s way of putting things. Your gender is whether or not you are a boy or a girl, male or female, man or woman. Whichever one you may be, that is considered to be your gender. You gender identity is how we feel about ourselves and our gender. It is also about how we express our gender and our gender roles.
